At Hearts for Hospice it is important that we listen to our patients as they tell their life stories, and as they share their hopes, dreams, and disappointments. It is during this time that our staff members pick up on the "little things" that would bring joy to our patients' lives.
As a Hospice Team we listen; we share with each other; then we work together on bringing to life the "Heart Wish" of as many patients as we possibly can.
"Heart Wishes" are typically "the little things in life" that a patient would still like to do. For example: Ride in a side car of a Harley Davidson; have a personalized tour of the community Christmas lights; Get to Church one last time; Have a modified Luau party with the
"Hearts for Hospice Hula Team!" All tastefully done and in the spirit of bringing joy to the patient and family members.
It is important to each of us here at Hearts for Hospice to not only provide quality care to our patients and their families, but to also help them to make life "All about living!".
