Not all hospices are the same
Standard hospice care and services are provided by all Medicare Part A certified agencies. After these are met, each agency can choose to make additional services available to the individual and the individual’s family.
How to choose:
All licensed/certified hospices are governed by the same state and federal regulations, but each hospice operates under its own philosophy of care. A physician may recommend a certain hospice agency but the individual has the right to choose. An informed, educated consumer has many different healthcare options and choosing a hospice is no different. Make sure the hospice you choose works for you.
